Burgundy is one of fall’s hottest colors! Take a look around any store and you are sure to see sweaters, shoes, pants, handbags, etc. all available in this trendy color! True red’s and pinks can be tricky depending on your hair/skin tone, but burgundy seems to be universally flattering! Blush is also continuing to have its moment! While we used to consider pastels spring/summer colors, they’re here to help lift our winter blues!

A monochromatic looks is one of the easiest ways to do chic layers this fall. It can include the same color, or multiple hues of the same base color. Here I’ve done a little of both with blush top and outwear, but throwing a pop of burgundy in at the bottom! I think adding a little variation makes it slightly more casual. To dress this look up I would pair with a beautiful blush skirt. I have always been a huge fan of the monochromatic look because I love to wear neutrals. Playing with different textures and weights of fabric gives you a dynamic look that is so simple!! All of these pieces are separates you can mix and match to create endless options, and odds are you already have a piece or two in your closet that will work!

Quick side note about my pants from Loft :: they are by far my favorite well priced dress pant on the market. I own them myself and have put multiple clients with all different body types in them. You may need a slight alteration like hemming, but they do come in petite. Loft sales are ever changing, but they are currently just $39!!
