First things first, I have a fun announcement to make! Coming soon — like very soon — is a new online boutique and one stop shop for all things fashion! I’ve partnered with Jackie Mewbourne, who also lives in Nashville and is to thank for helping me enter the styling world. We are so excited to bring you My Style Scoop! Each piece is handpicked by us, focusing on cross-generational quality products that are on trend and affordable! The Style Scoop blog will be all about remixing our items with pieces you probably own already. More info to come in the next week or so, but for now, that’s the scoop. This blush trench is one piece I am just dying over!! We’ve already sold a couple so don’t hesitate if you’re in love!! — you can email me for more info on it!
Heading into the weekend, I wanted to stick with the three C’s : casual, comfy, chic. If you can nail all three of those, you’ve got a winning look for any brunch or shopping date.
First up I’ve paired the trench with my most favorite basics. White tee’s can be tricky, but Gap has totally nailed it. I struggled for a while finding the perfect one that wasn’t too thin or oversized but this meets all requirements. It even has a cute little scoop at the bottom and comes in 13 colors (WINNING!) This is a piece you should refresh seasonally as needed, and for only $15 it’s do able.
Now we have our ‘perfect tee’ + boyfriend jeans + sneakers + time to add a little more chic to the combo. Layering pieces are such a huge part of your wardrobe in transitional seasons like spring and fall, or If you’re like me and always freezing, they actually play a huge role year round. We really loved this trench in particular because of the color and versatility. Blush is one of the hottest colors right now and it always manages to bring a feminine touch. The style of this jacket isn’t so much a structured trench, but more a duster coat with trench like detailing. It’s meant to be worn open over anything and treated as part of your outfit!
Bringing us to my second look, a casual dress. It’s going to be unseasonable warm in Nashville this weekend so you bet I’m taking advantage of it! My dress is just a basic knit from Lou & Grey I purchased last year. It’s great to dress up with a pump or over the knee boot and a structured blazer. You might have something similar, but incase you don’t, I’ve pulled my top picks of the moment below! Couldn’t leave out my rose gold accessories either. I got these Quay sunnies when we went to Mexico last year and they quickly became my go-to fun piece. I just love them and at $55 they’re a great price point for a trend piece. I hope you all love these easy weekend looks as much as I do!
